Sometimes you have to stir things up a bit...

Ok...you have a business or are a professional like many others in your local competitive area.  If you don't stand out you look like a commodity.  If you are a commodity, you have to compete on price...market price.

Why would you want to continue to do the same sorts of things and get the same results?  or in down times...worse results?

I recently compared to different towns with different demographics and different philosophies.  Both are exposed to the downturn,  but one is hanging its head and business is down while the other is making lemonade out of lemons and actually doing better.

If this can happen on a community level, could the same happen on a regional, state and national level?

One owner in the depressed mentality community said things are tough and one just has to grit things through...

An owner in the upbeat community said times are slow but now is the time to do all the upgrades and improvements one doesn't have the time to do in better times...stay active and positive.

Which attitude is better?
